StackWise-160
Stacking up to nine switches is possible using the Cisco Catalyst 3650’s optional stacking module, which is based on the Cisco StackWise-160 technology. By combining up to nine switches into a single, highly robust system, StackWise-160 makes maintenance easier with only one IP address. IP base feature sets are only able to stack with other 3650 series in IP feature sets, and stack modules are necessary for stacking. IP base switches can only stack with other 3650 series IP bases; they must be configured in LAN base mode (Stack modules must be purchased separately) in order to stack with LAN bases.
